Hello everyone! So recently I have been reading a metric ass ton of Homestuck. I had started it awhile ago but never had the time to really get into it! I had a ton of free time so over the past week or so I have been reading and am at Act 5 Part 2 or something like that so please don't spoil anything beyond that for me or other people who may not be that far into it that are reading it haha. Anyways, I am totally going to be cosplaying Eridan from Homestuck and if you are not familiar, just search for him on ze interwebs and I am sure you will find photos and junk. I plan to debut him at Otakon on Saturday along with my friend Natasha who will be my Feferi! I am really excited to do this outfit as my normal glasses will really work well for him and I will finally be able to see things clearly at cons! I am not a fan of contacts and own none so yeah. I am also excited cause this cosplay is decently challenging and involves some fancy work on wigs and makeup, both of which I am not the greatest with so I will for sure be interested in improving my skills in those fields. I have started working on it already and have bought the pants, the shirt, the material for a cape and scarf and I basically own the rest of the things I will be needing. So far it has not been going that well as my cape does not wanna dye properly so I may need to re-dye it soon or find a better color base material. However I have made the rings out of twist ties and gold paint (yes it sounds crappy but it actually looks pretty good and the paint is like gold leaf and it works out well). My Feferi is going to be making my horns and fins as well as helping me with makeup so I know for sure those are gonna look great as she does an excellent job as Feferi with her horns and whatnot. Anyways, moving on now to another outfit! Gakupo is turning out nicely! I should be posting some WIP pictures once I get my white vest made as I basically own all the other parts of the cosplay now minus the tie and flower. My wig will be arriving shortly from a friend and it looks great! I am most likely going to be cosplaying him Sunday at Colossalcon and probably Friday evening as well so that I can rest my feet the day before I am Mad Hatter Undertaker at that con. Anyways, just wanted to update you all on my cosplays! I have been not really been working on anything since May but now it i time to get back into gear as I got some cons coming up shortly!
